"We loved our visit to Pho Thy. I heard about it from Tik Tok and ended up going on my birthday. The food was absolutely amazing!! Now for the second visit, we wanted to go for my boyfriend's birthday as well and when we arrived we were sad to hear that it was closed. After telling the owner and her lovely daughter that it was in fact my boyfriends birthday, they not only agreed to make us whatever we wanted from the menu, but they surprised us by preparing complementary fried dumplings for my boyfriend and played a birthday song for him! It was so kind and beyond anything that we could have expected. Thank you so much for being so thoughtful and accommodating to us. We loved it and will OBVIOUSLY be back"

"The chicken soup was AMAZING! Adding some chilli took the flavours to the next level . The portion size was HUGE - we could easily share and still take some home! It's key to understand that Vietnamese food, though Asian-inspired, plays by its own rules. The stir-fry cabbage side with crispy chicken and rice was SO DELICIOUS - I'd eat that dish solo! We'll def be back to try more menu items. Highly recommend!"

"We had the BEST Pho in town! We’re Pho snobs and this really topped it for us. It was authentic Vietnamese pho, packed with a flavour profile from the God’s, halaal, divine. I took along my Asian friend and she conceded that it’s the best Pho she’s had in Cape Town. Besides the 10/10 food, the owner is absolutely and infectiously loving & warm, nothing beats her hospitality and service!!! The set up is quaint, cute and neat. The staff is attentive and friendly. It feels like home away from home, if you’re into that type of restaurant experience. Loved it every bit of it."

"Pho Thy Vietnamese Food is honestly amazing! Their pho is super flavourful and comforting the broth tastes fresh and authentic every time. I also tried their Vietnamese coffee and wow, it’s strong, smooth, and perfectly sweet. The service is friendly and quick, and the whole place has such a warm vibe. Definitely my new favourite spot for pho and coffee!"

"Halaal certified. Everything I tried was Abdolutely delicious. Visited for lunch. Ordered Buy 1 Get 1 free salmon sushi platters, Prawn Dumplings and tried their steam buns variety filled with Custard, Sesame seed and Lotus flower. Lovely Will definitely visit again soon inshaa Allah"

"never disappoints! I stopped by for a quick meal and ended up loving everything. The pho was rich and comforting, and the crispy fries noodles were packed with flavour. Their Vietnamese coffee is the perfect finish bold, sweet, and so addictive. The staff are lovely and the atmosphere is relaxed. Definitely a spot worth visiting again and again!"

"Thy, has brought tasty and flavoursome Vietnamese food to Cape Town. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The beef PHO is delicious!! The sesame chicken should definitely be one of your choices too and the sushi special, buy one get one free is a win-win. Our food was piping hot when it was brought to the table, so no lukewarm food. Loved the prawn summer rolls, but would like an option of the Nuoc Cham, slightly sour-salty lime dip too. Love that they had Mangosteen juice available, all the way from Vietnam too. What a lovely dine-in experience in Pho Thy! We have ordered takeaways since our visit and it's as fresh and delicious. Do support Thy and her team, they are really giving you the best taste of Vietnam in Cape Town."

"Pho Thy in Kenilworth is an absolute gem. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with genuine warmth by the owner, Thy; the kind of hospitality that immediately makes you feel at home. We tried a range of dishes and every single plate delivered. The beef and chicken phở were knockout bowls of comfort, rich broth, generous portions, and beautifully balanced flavors. The beef noodles were equally impressive. For starters, we shared spring rolls and dumplings, and the prawn option quickly became the favorite around the table. I have to single out the fresh chicken spring roll in particular, incredibly fresh, vibrant, and honestly out of this world. To end the lunch, Thy surprised us with a complimentary pot of green tea and took the time to share a little of her story. That personal touch sealed the experience. Pho Thy is a must-try when you’re in Kenilworth, Cape Town, authentic food, heartfelt service, and a truly memorable dining experience. Highly recommended."
